Embedded Linux Engineer

Description:
We are looking for a senior embedded Linux engineer to work on all levels of a board support package (BSP) for custom hardware.
Duration:
6 months
Development responsibilities may include:
· Design, develop and debug device drivers and low-level applications
· Port and maintain latest Linux kernel in custom hardware
· Optimize system (boot up time, memory, disk space, power, CPU utilization)
· Develop unit test, automation and stress test code
Necessary skills:
· Expert knowledge of C/C++/Assembly
· Excellent system level debugging skills
· In-depth knowledge of Embedded Linux internals
· Experience configuring and porting kernel to different types of hardware
· Experience evaluating, selecting and customizing Linux distribution for proprietary hardware and standard PC architecture
Additional requirements:
· BSCS/BSCE/BSEE
· 3 to 5 years experience developing embedded Linux systems
· Must be willing and able to provide exceptional customer service, including direct interfacing with clients
· Must be able to work within a distributed team environment
· Ability to learn fast and work independently
· Some travel required (typically two weeks annually)
· Android experience is a plus
